This paper discusses the method and the procedure by adopting which the two renowned companies of Australia, BHP Billiton and 3 Oceans Wine Company, can improve their business operations. This can ideally be achieved with the help of incorporating changes in the communication system and network elements. BHP Billiton is an Australian company that specializes in multinational mining, metals and is a petroleum company. The company was established in the year 2001, with the merger of two companies, Australian Broken Hill Proprietary Company Limited (BHP) and AngloDutch Billiton plc. The company is one of the largest multi-national mining, petroleum and metals company of the world. The Wide Area Network (WAN) mainly dominates the network design of the company. The WAN is mainly used for companies, which have its business spread out to a wider geographical area.
